I don't know if Collier's Sweet Market print was typical or atypical for Collier; it certainly gives off a very different vibe from the few other Collier prints I have seen, including The Orange Seller, insofar as she depicts nearly faceless figures delineated from each other primarily by the color of their robes.Darrel C. Generally, Collier's prints build on Giles' use of broken colour, especially with her use of reflection on water and all the dabs here are similar to that approach to colour. Still, I can see what you mean, yes, so that's interesting. <br /><br />The pots in the Hare are rather art deco for north Africa.
